The Problem with Christian Nationalism (#913)

"There is nothing more confining than the prison we don't know we are in" is an adaptation of something William Shakespeare wrote, and it launches a discussion about the misdirected hopes of Christian Nationalism. Wayne and Kyle discuss how fear and anger have convinced too many evangelical Christians to embrace the false power of compulsion and abandon the glorious invitation that lies at the heart of the Gospel. Christian nationalism sells an illusion that makes us less Christlike at a time when our world most needs examples of the true power of God's kingdom.
